Cloud Images From Mount Washington

Interesting cloud formations were observed on and near the summit of Mount Washington, New Hampshire on February 12th and 13th, 2004, including some excellent examples of Lens (Lenticular) Clouds. One of these clouds was also noted by a meteorologist at the Mount Washington observatory in the Observers Comments section of their website for February 13. Included with the comments is a photo of the same Lenticular cloud (top right photo in group on this page) from the vantage point of the summit looking east.

The following images were taken on February 12th and 13th, 2004 looking north towards the summit from various locations around the Mount Washington Valley. Click any of the images below to view a high resolution version.
